Dinner with Friends.

Preparing the delicious Roast Beast

My dear friend Jane, chef extraordinaire, organized a day in the kitchen at St. Patrick’s Church in Toronto. She made a call to arms and recruited friends to come help for a day of pitching in to help prepare a nutritious and delicious meal for 300.

Carrots were peeled, apples were cobbler’d, and fingers were pruned from washing of dishes. It was an amazing experience and it felt good to contribute to the feeling of community.

So you CAN make friends with salad!

We would've eaten it raw.

And of course, what kitchen experience would be complete without a great potato peeling race? These are my Olympians.
